What Is Scentsy Family Reunion?

Once a year, Scentsy consultants throughout Europe all gather in one city for our 2 day Scentsy Family Reunion Convention.  If you have the title of Director, Star Director or SuperStar Director you are also invited to attend a Leadership event the day before our convention to undertake training especially created for those leadership levels within Scentsy.

This year, we turned the city of Manchester purple with our fragrance family and it was epic!!

It was extra special this year as well, as I took it as my Scentsy Incentive Trip.  Every year all Scentsy Consultants are given the opportunity to earn an all expenses paid holiday to a destination of Scentsy’s choosing and you are always treated as absolute royalty.  This year it was to Monte Carlo but unfortunately personal circumstances prevent us from going (we earned for two) so instead I took registration and accommodation for our convention instead and oh my goodness the hotel was incredible!  I stayed at The Midland Hotel and lived in luxury for 4 nights.

Scentsy Leadership Event 2023

This is one of my favourite days in the Scentsy calendar.  Not only do we receive incredible training from Scentsy, it is a chance to connect with other leaders outside of our own teams, as well as staff from Scentsy’s Home Office.

This year we took part in a scavenger hunt around the Manchester Convention Centre, then had the opportunity to hear from our brand new Country Manager, Louise White.  Then we had top level training from the hysterical Jason Harwood (Field Development Manager) on creating reports on our individual team members to give them the best support available in growing their own Scentsy businesses.

No conference is complete without food!  A few of us went to Peaky Blinders for lunch which was amazing, if you haven’t been, there, you have to go!!

Then in the evening, we had a Leadership dinner which was so lovely, as it was the chance for us to all relax, eat and talk, oh and laugh – a lot!!!

What Happens At Scentsy Family Reunion?

This year was particularly exciting for me as I had so many members of our direct and wider team joining us!  Even though many have been with us for many years now, due to Covid restrictions and then us all living in different places throughout the country, we had never met.

Scentsy love hugs.  Whether you like them or not, if you go to a Scentsy event you are going to get hugged!!  Haha  It was so nice to actually be able to hug those who I have only ever spoken with on facetime/Zoom or social media.

Day One

Thursday was such an exciting day as it was jam packed full of product reveals for the next catalogue launching on the 1 September and limited edition collections which will be coming out including Halloween and Christmas.  We all sat there singing Christmas songs in the middle of July and it was brilliant!!! 

All of the new products were then set out in a huge display and oh my goodness are there some incredible products coming!  I cannot wait to share them with all our customers!!

Then myself and our wider team went to a local pub for our team meal.  It was so nice to be able to sit down and chat with them all, after so many years of knowing them online, it was amazing to have that in person conversation.  Our team Shining Star Award was also awarded to Samantha King.  Every year our team votes on which team member has given more than they take, a real team player who contributes to the success of everyone’s business.  This is one of my favourite parts of being a team leader, being able to show team members how much they are valued and appreciated.

Then after a quick change at the hotel, it was back to the Manchester Convention Centre for our awards evening.  This is where consultants who have achieved milestones in their business have the chance to walk the stage.  I am incredibly proud of being able to do the stage walk for being a Scentsy SuperStar Director as well as achieving the Annual Sales Award 2023.  The Annual Sales Award is awarded to all consultants, regardless of title who enter 30k+ of PRV (personal retail volume) between May and April of the following year.  30k PRV equates to approximately £36k of sales.  I am so so proud and incredibly grateful that we have now earned this award 9 years running out of the nearly 12 years of being a Scentsy Consultant.

Finally, the prestigious Alice Kalilimoku Shining Star was awarded to the consultant who contributes the most to fulfilling the Scentsy Mission and who best exemplifies our core values of Simplicity, Authenticity and Generosity.

After that we had an awards night after party with a buffet of desserts.  Now when Scentsy have a party, they really do have a party and had the biggest display of desserts you can ever imagine!!  Afterwards we danced the night away (and I sung very loudly out of tune for most of the evening!).

Now many might think reading this that technically we are all competitors.  We all same exactly the same products and whilst that might be true, if you are in that room you would never ever know that. Scentsy truly is a unique and special company to be part of.  As long as you are over 18 and reside in a country Scentsy is open in, you can be a part of that as well!!

I slept very well that night, it was a very packed day!!

Day Two

Day two and the final day launched with a “The Art Of Fragrance Training”.  Each consultant was presented with a box containing 12 wax fragrance testers.  3 “top notes”, 3 “middle notes” and 3 “base notes”.  Did you know it takes up to 60 different fragrances to create one unique Scentsy fragrance.  Also since Scentsy’s launch in 2004, they have created 1,323 unique Scentsy fragrances!  We really are fragrance experts!!

We then had the chance of writing our own Scentsy fragrance descriptions, let’s just say I won’t be giving up my day job!! Haha

Then we were giving the really exciting news that from the 1 September 2023, anyone who joins with our Autumn/Winter starter kit will receive this Art Of Fragrance kit so they can gain the knowledge on the complexity of fragrances. 

In my nearly 12 years of being with Scentsy I can hand on heart say it was the best training I have ever experienced and I now feel more educated on how to recommend fragrances to our customers.

Then we had some incredible presentations from consultants covering so many aspects of our Scentsy businesses.  As much as I love hearing our Home Office members from Scentsy presenting, there is just something so special listening to other consultants who work their businesses every single day.  We may all sell the same products, but we are all individuals with our own strengths and weaknesses and these presentations help so many consultants.

After our closing session and lots of tears as we all said bye, a few of our team had a farewell dinner at Peaky Blinders (I really loved it there!). 

I am not a particularly emotional person, but I took a moment to sit back and absorb watching our team having fun together.  I truly believe to succeed in any career or business, it is the people you surround yourself with that will drive you forward.  With Scentsy we say “you join for the products and stay for the people” and I literally cannot say it any better than this.

There is a place for anyone in Scentsy.  We gathered in Manchester travelling from all corners of the country, coming from all different backgrounds all with the excitement for our company, the products and our community.
